We have received a number of referrals from Become Part of the Solution (BPS) to our recovery house and they have been excellent candidates and most have done very well. Become Part of the Solution has afforded them an opportunity to get on their feet, and become responsible in their lives and recovery. These loving gifts are the catalyst to changes that ripple out to their loved ones and their communities. Keep up the great work!

"I express great gratitude to “Become Part of the Solution” (BPS), and Chris Luginbuhl. I thank my higher power for placing this program in my path as I would be a great deal different today without it, if here at all.
This program has provided me with the tools and the opportunity to change my life for the better. One day at a time, I strive to face each obstacle, knowing that I am not alone. BPS provides an opportunity to save people’s lives and reconnect families losing the battle of addiction. It pains me to hear of another loss of life caused by drugs or alcohol. But also refreshes the ideals instilled in me at High Watch farm and the life-threatening battle of addiction.
I currently am pursuing my dreams in the Natural Resources profession in Maine. I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the BPS and Chris being there when I was ready to admit, I needed a change. I still struggle with living life on life’s terms, but today I am grateful for my friends, family, and great programs like BPS that saved my life!"

“Become Part of the Solution is that is one of the best organizations that I’ve ever experienced. There is no judgment, no facade only real people helping people in need. They are here to help you when people need it the most, they are a compassionate and kind and caring and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t be where I am today in my life and especially in my recovery”

My name is Janice Gerry and I wanted to try to express my gratitude for “Become Part of the Solution” (BPS).
I have been working with members of the 12-step community and those struggling to find a solution to their disease of addiction for many years. The organization that I’m involved with manages 12-step recovery homes. Along the way I’ve had the pleasure of working with Chris at BPS. I have seen BPS assist many people. It appears to me that Chris works selflessly with individuals to help lift them up.
Many addicts and alcoholics, while asking for help find themselves homeless. It’s difficult to find their way back from nothing. Then BPS steps in and assists with some of the basic human needs like a safe place to lay their head. Having this safe place and regular meals gives the person some freedom to go to 12-step meetings, church, manage their medical needs and find jobs.
I have had my heart warmed by seeing this work for countless people over the years and that’s why I’m very grateful for “Become Part of the Solution” and Chris.
“Recovery 12 Solutions”
"I am a 61-year-old male who is a recovering alcoholic. I struggled for 5 years, was a member of [a 12-step program], and had a sponsor, it wasn’t enough. Alcohol cost me a marriage and a O.U.I. I found rock bottom when it was too late, which is common, based on my situation and other stories I’ve heard in the rooms. I ended up homeless.
“Become Part of the Solution” (BPS) entered my life at that time nearly 6 years ago.
August 8this my sobriety date. I will be 6 years sober this August. Then BPS showed me a way out that was unimaginable to me. Many of my brothers in the rooms have died. I knew 5 and was very close to them. That will stay with me forever.
In closing, thanks to “Become Part of the Solution” I have a productive life without alcohol. I am happy and can’t say enough about them. I would have drank myself to death. My dad did."

I would like to take a moment to express our gratitude for being able to have such a positive relationship with Chris and “Become Part of The Solution”.
Chris and I met a year and a half or two years back. I was thrilled to hear that there was such an organization willing and able to help our clients in need of housing assistance. Our clients struggle in their early recovery, they have a lot to do in a short period of time. Most of our clients qualify for housing assistance within their first sixty days in our program. The reality is that those sixty days might not be enough time to be able to sustain themselves enough to pay for their own housing. An additional week or two of housing assistance could make a huge difference in our client’s well-being.
“Become Part of The Solution” has done just that. With their assistance, clients that may have had to moved-on before they were ready were able to stay and continue to focus on their early recovery and bettering themselves.
I/We, cannot say enough good things about Chris and “Become Part of the Solution”. The feedback I have received from our clients has been nothing but positive. Our clientele, along with my staff and I, are grateful to have this organization in our lives!
